The George & Ruth Sharec Local History Room, which includes the Alma & Peter Murri Special Collections Archive, houses a unique collection of photographs, memorabilia, and artifacts highlighting the history of Newton Falls.

This room is named in honor of George and Ruth Sharec, who were passionate stewards of the town's history and donated much of their extensive collection to the library. It also honors Alma and Peter Murri, who owned the Newton Falls Herald for many years. It was their generous donation that made the recent renovations and maintenance of the room possible.
