Jeanne Bryner Author Visit and Book Signing
On Thursday, January 16th at 6 PM, Newton Falls native Jeanne Bryner will share poetry from her new book, In Velvet, and will have books available for signing. Light refreshments will be served.

About the Author:
Jeanne Bryner’s family was part of Appalachia’s outmigration, and she grew up in Newton Falls, Ohio. A retired board certified emergency room nurse, she’s a graduate of Trumbull Memorial Hospital’s School of Nursing and Kent State University’s Honors College.
Her work has been adapted for the stage nationally and also the 2005 Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland. Her play, Foxglove Canyon, was first performed in Akron for Summa Healthcare’s Humanities’ conference directed by Russell Zampino. She has received awards for community service, nursing and writing fellowships from Bucknell University, the Ohio Arts Council (’97, ’07) and Vermont Studio Center. She lives near an Ohio dairy farm with her husband, David.

Newton Falls Library Service Update 

The Library has opened our doors back up for Grab & Go Services (computers, browsing the shelves, etc.)! We strongly encourage patrons to limit their in-person visits to one hour or less. The Library will also continue contact-free Curbside Delivery Services and Virtual Programs.

Please help us keep our doors open for Grab & Go Services by following all face covering and social distancing guidelines.

Each bag contains:

1. A Cookie. Enjoy!

2. The supplies to creat a christmas tree ornament.

3.  A Letter to Santa.  Fill in the blanks, place the letter in the self-addressed envelope and drop in the mail.  Your child will recieve a letter from Santa in return.

Supplies

  • Cardboard tube (toilet paper roll, paper towel roll, etc.)
  • Yarn in any color (about 12 yards)
  • Scissors
  • Fiberfill or tissue paper for stuffing

Virtual Storytime

Missing Story Time? Call the Library at 330-872-1282 (extension 3 for the children's department) and we'll sign you up for Virtual Story Time!

Twice a month, we'll email you a video of Miss Chrissy reading a story and showing how to make a craft. You can pick up a craft pack full of supplies at the Library at the beginning of every month.

- You only need to register once for February, March and April Story Time

- Stories and Crafts are geared to ages 3 - 5 but all ages are welcome to take part.
